Clarivate is seeking to Hire on a Financial Analyst to join our global Finance team! As a Financial Analyst, you will be assigned to the team supporting variable compensation and commissions for the Academic & Government customer segment. Working closely with sales leadership, you will drive critical processes related to territory definition, goal allocation, compensation plan deployment, performance calculations and payment processing. Our most successful Financial Analysts have a strong attention to detail, excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and strong communication skills. Your work will have a real, tangible impact on the business by ensuring that sales teams are properly incentivized to achieve their targets while being compensated fairly and accurately. About You – Experience, Education, Skills, And Accomplishments…

  • Bachelors’ degree in a quantitative field such as Business, Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines
  • Proficient in Excel

  • Experience with Business intelligence tools
  • Previous commissions related experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships
  • Excellent researching and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and schedules to identify trends
  • Familiarity with Software Products and SaaS business model
  • ERP system experience

What will you be doing in this role?...

  • Partner with sales leadership to complete annual territory planning and definition
  • Facilitate the goal allocation process ensuring that targets at set at the regional and territory level
  • Create and deploy compensation plan documents that effectively outline sales targets, performance measurement and payment mechanics for each sales rep within your area of responsibility
  • Accurately measure sales performance against targets and calculate monthly commission amounts
  • Audit and distribute monthly commission statements
  • Document active SPIFF programs and calculate regular SPIFF payments
  • Effectively interface with sales leadership, human resources and payroll ensuring that commission payments are delivered error free and on-time
  • Perform ad hoc analysis related to sales performance and future payout projections
  • Assists with ad hoc projects as needed

Hours of Work

This is hybrid position based out of our Ann Arbor office location with the expectation of being in the office 2-3 days per week

Ability to be flexible with working hours across regions and time zones worldwide
