Director of Medical and Surgical Specialties

Pay: $63.32 - $101.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

  • Operational responsibility for the Metro Denver region, including Longmont, overseeing a broad portfolio of specialty and surgical services. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional, patient-centered care across multiple specialty departments within the health system.
  • Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, vision, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Director of Medical and Surgical Specialties plays a key role in the health system's strategic and operational efforts by:

  • Accountable for performance metrics across the region, including patient access, quality, provider engagement and retention, patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with specialty clinical leaders and hospital and administrative partners to implement strategic initiatives and optimize care delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability among multidisciplinary teams.

Candidate Qualifications

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, with a focus on specialty care and surgical services.
  • Strong background managing complex specialty practices or departments within a healthcare system.
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Bachelors Degree

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills to engage diverse stakeholders, including providers, staff, and executive leadership.
