The Scheduling Supervisor Position Supports The Blood Center By Managing The Scheduling Of Clinical Personnel, Ensuring Optimal Utilization Of Resources And Smooth Workflow. What You Will Be Doing
Creates and maintains schedules for Collections department staff and needs of the blood Center
Ensures adequate staffing levels for various shifts
Manages employee time-off requests and payroll, maintains accurate scheduling records, and uses scheduling systems to adjust staffing levels and ensures adequate coverage during absences, call-offs, or unexpected events.
Coordinates and communicates staff schedules, address related inquiries, and collaborates with departments such as Donor Resources to ensure seamless operations.
What You Will Bring To The Role
A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required with additional education preferred.
A Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional certification (PMI-SP) is required.
2+ years of experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
2+ years' experience in a Clerical or Administrative role is strongly preferred.
Ability to effectively interact with a diverse employee population and communicate is required (verbal, written, and listening).
Proficient with scheduling systems such as Outlook, HRIS and Payroll systems. Isolved experience strongly preferred.
Ability to prioritize responsibilities, solve problems, and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.
Knowledge of healthcare operations and scheduling best practices.
Additional Information
This position reports directly to the Donor Collections Director and will work the following schedule:
Mon-Fri 8am-4 at the Bethlehem location and this position works a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, and on-call to cover weekends and holidays
Ability to lift or carry up to 30lbs is necessary.
