This Manager Plant Facilities is responsible for the direct supervision of all engineering, security and environmental services employees and overall responsibility for the operations of the plant management/building maintenance. Healthcare experience strongly preferred.

  • Establishes operational procedures for activities such as intervention in disruptions by patients, visitors and personnel; traffic control, guarding, and patrolling physical property, escort services for visitors and personnel working in high risk areas; investigation of accidents and criminal acts.
  • Works with managers to evaluate employee tasks to identify hazards, conditions, and situations that could lead to violence.
  • Responsible for fiscal planning and activities of the department. Confers with representatives of management to formulate policies, determine need for programs with clinic activities
  • Responsible for developing the operating to include personnel, equipment, materials, supply needs. Make recommendations for midyear needs as appropriate.
  • Maintains an inventory of parts and supplies to maximize the operational readiness of clinic building systems and equipment with due respect to the limitations.
  • Directly supervises personnel in the Maintenance and Security department. Carries out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies and applicable laws including hiring, training, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing
  • Performs preventative maintenance program of fire alarm system according to National Fire Prevention Association criteria.
  • Responsible for the development of policies and procedures relative to fire and safety.
  • Works within the budget process to plan and track department and/or project expenses; takes timely action on budget variances and implements appropriate cost containment measures.
  • Develops/participates in preparing the department/unit budget and functions within approved budget including yearly cost analysis.
  • Maintains accurate record of expenditures and justifies variances on a monthly basis.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to clinic policy and protocol regarding employee injury and follow-up as necessary; complies with applicable safety goals
  • Assures compliance to regulatory standards and clinic policies and procedures
  • Ensures operational procedures for the department/unit. Makes recommendations for changes and updates as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned


5 years plus of building maintenance, trades or construction required; 3 years plus Management of Facilities strongly preferred

Experience In Healthcare Facilities Strongly Preferred
