Responsibilities
- Design high speed digital and power management circuits to meet section requirements
- Design circuits using industry standard schematic capture tools
- PCB layout implementation of responsible subsection
- Design complex high-speed signals that meet impedance requirements
- Perform worst case analysis of circuits in area of responsibility
- Generate documentation that defines processor pin assignments
- Develop detailed design documents
- Perform failure mode analysis and generate process documentation
- Define stress test routines required to validate functional sections
- Design communication links between the processor, other internal subsections, and external modules
- Formulate test plans to ensure component level performance
- Validate testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes
- Root cause and resolve issues in assigned sections
- Participate in system design reviews
- Interface closely with other teams such as Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing teams and with external component suppliers
- Must be willing to travel occasionally
You'll have...
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field of study
- 3+ years of experience designing high-speed digital circuits
- Expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design
- Knowledge of power electronics and high-speed circuit design

- Familiar with CAD tools (e.g. Mentor Graphics, Cadence Design Systems, etc.)
- Familiar with automotive interfaces (e.g. CAN, LIN, etc.)
- Experience in specialized, complex hardware and embedded software systems
- Knowledgeable on microprocessors, solid state memory, cameras, displays and sensors
- Working knowledge of industry-standard interfaces (e.g. LVDS, DDR, PCI, I2C, and Ethernet, etc.)
- Sound hardware and software troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temperature chambers, time-domain reflectometers, precision power meters, etc.)
- Proficient in simulation tools for signal integrity and power management circuitry
- Motivated and self-starter
- Collaboration and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users and engineering professionals (e.g. globally distributed teams, ability to adjust communications
