If you are hired provisionally in this title, you must take and pass the Civil Service Exam, when it becomes available, to be eligible for continued employment.

This position is critical to support the tracking, accounting, processing, and distribution of approximately $5 billion in annual revenue, as well as the preparation of the annual Fiscal Year-End closing for DSS/HRA/DHS.

As a Revenue Associate, the Clerical Associate IV reports to the Director of DRCA and performs, but is not limited to, the following duties.

The Office Of Fiscal Operations /The Division Of Revenue Control & Analysis (DRCA) Is Recruiting For Two (2) Clerical Associate IV To Function As a Revenue Associate., Who Will

  • Create and maintain financial data tracking reports for multiple DSS/HRA/DHS service programs utilizing MS Excel.
  • Track and maintain expense and claiming data received from the Bureau of Claims & Reimbursement (BCR), which includes approximately 3,200 DSS/HRA/DHS and other agency claims submitted annually for Federal and State reimbursement.
  • Perform daily review of receivables and settlements from Federal and State reimbursements entered in the city’s Financial Management System (FMS) for quality assurance.
  • Perform data entry and assist the Director of Revenue Accounting in the review of receivables into the Division’s revenue log for fiscal year tracking of DSS/HRA/DHS revenue and accruals using REVSMA reports.
  • Print, index, and maintain paid invoices from PASSPORT and HHS systems for the drawdown of funds for the Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) and MTA Outreach recoupment.
  • Prepare and catalog claims submitted by BCR and reimbursement settlement information to distribute to Revenue Analysts for data entry in the DTRAK and Finance Net database systems.
  • Perform comparative analysis of various financial data reports used to track expense and revenue.
  • Compile supporting documents and assists the Director of DRCA in research of revenue data for Federal, State, and City audits and reviews.
  • Assist the Division’s staff with the annual preparation of Fiscal Year End closing documentation.
  • Provide assistance to the Director of DRCA for staff trainings and with the completion of special projects as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.

Skills Requirement

Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.

Preferred Skills

Excellent written and oral communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Windows, Word, Excel Ability to learn other applications and/or systems.

New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment.
