SUMMARY: Directs the preparation and submission of regulatory agency applications, reports or correspondence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Serves as a liaison between regulatory bodies and operations
  • Responsible for managing regulatory-related projects through the entire life cycle
  • Prepares and submits applications and reports to applicable regulatory agencies ensuring timeliness, accuracy, comprehensiveness or compliance with regulatory standards
  • Responds to requests for information from regulatory bodies including ACHC, CMS, federal, state and local government.
  • Maintains current knowledge of regulations applicable to the company
  • Monitors regulatory affairs and the effect changes will have on company operations
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies
  • Manages the communication form process including their review, generation, assisting in research and investigation of events, logging and coding, statistics maintenance and reporting to the Compliance Officer.
  • Tracks regulatory, business and clinician licenses/certifications.
  • Answering service liaison, which includes following up on and logging daily reports and statistics maintenance
  • Coordinates payment and expense reporting for accreditation and regulatory applications and licensing
  • Coordinates surety bond and liability insurance requirements with Finance Department
  • Manages payer credentialing and contracts as assigned.
  • Coordinates on call scheduling
  • Prepares meeting minutes or summaries for multiple internal and external organization meetings
  • Manages monthly vehicle and performance improvement surveys
  • Performs monthly OIG exclusion checks on all employees.
  • Assists with preparing and distributing business and marketing documents, as necessary
  • Sorts and distributes mail. Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information.
  • Manages company uniforms and company apparel sales
  • Maintains various files
  • Makes recommendations for changes in office practices or procedures.
  • Assists other departments as needed.
  • Other duties as requested by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education And/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience required

  • Must be able to work independently and within a team.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees at diverse levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Strong computer skills; required proficiency with MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and SignNow.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills

Proficient English (verbal, written). Ability to read and interpret complex documents such as regulatory language, research articles and contracts.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using a calculator.

Analytical & Problem Solving Ability

Critical thinking, fact finding and creative problem skills required. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
