What You'll Do

Development and certification of the Next Generation End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) and high assurance Cryptographic High Value Product (CHVP) within Viasat Government.

The day-to-day

Design, documentation, implementation, prototyping, and testing of next generation encryption devices on cutting edge high speed or ultra-low power digital circuit boards for Layer 3 In-line Network Encryptors.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 8+ years hardware design or sustaining experience
• Experience designing high speed digital circuit boards
• Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerations
• Must be able to prioritize, be detail oriented, and have history of handling time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, take ownership of tasks and results
• US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
• Ability to travel up to 10%
  
  
  

What Will Help You On The Job

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a temporally and geographically diverse team
• Ability to document and report on technical solutions/findings
• Solid understanding of MS Office products for documentation creation and modification
• Familiarity with standard test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc.)
• Familiarity with production related processes and common failure modes
• High aptitude for learning new things
• Desire to be part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and troubleshoot production related issues
  
  
  

Salary range

$153,500.00 - $242,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $185,500.00- $278,500.00/ annually
