  • Maintain and manage an inventory of instruments, uniforms, and other equipment; procure new equipment as necessary in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
  • Coordinate the band audition process in partnership with the Office of Admissions and support recruitment-related communications.
  • Monitor participation and engagement of student band members receiving athletic stipends to ensure fulfillment of performance obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Office of Admissions to track and support applicants who have been recruited for the band program.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and educational environment that promotes musicianship, leadership, and school spirit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience directing marching or athletic bands at the high school, collegiate, or drum corps level.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to arrange music and visual design for performances is preferred.
  • Experience working collaboratively across departments and with diverse student populations.
  • Proven track record of student recruitment and community engagement is highly desirable.
