As an IT Technician, you’ll play an important role in supporting employees with technical issues and supporting the efficiency and security of the organization from a technical point of view.

About The Role

As an IT Technician, kindness and fairness are key as you use your customer service skills in employee interactions. You’ll collaborate with other team members to help ensure a smooth flow for the day. Responsibilities include:

  • Provide First Level support for caller requests including: troubleshooting, escalation and/or resolution.
  • Field calls while delivering excellent customer service
  • Multi-task customer calls, e-mails, IT security user provisioning and data center operations.
  • Document calls in incident management software for detailed tracking of incident reporting. Route all manually assigned incidents appropriately.
  • Monitor system wide alerts, downtimes and advisories, document and escalate to the appropriate support team by providing notification, updates and resolution as required.
  • Use remote access tools for troubleshooting and resolution of basic technical issues.
  • Maintain IT inventory, purchases, repairs and replacement of IT assets.
  • Manage VOIP and Analog telephone systems.
  • Manage software licensing and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot and repair computer and desktop operating system problems when needed.
  • Work with third party IT vendors to maintain consistent user support whether or not they are in the office.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communication and/or peripheral equipment.
  • Perform equipment repair, build cables, replace boards and components to identify or remedy failures.
  • Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of software problems.

In this position you will not be based at one site, and will travel to all Neighborhood site regularly.

Education And Skills To Be An IT Technician

  • High school diploma or equivalent required AND two (2) years of help desk call center, customer service, or application support experience required OR
  • Associate degree or certificate of course completion in a technical related field OR two (2) years of help desk call center, customer service, or application support experience required.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification, Cisco CCNA, HDI Help Desk Technician, Microsoft Certified Professional, or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and user interfaces.

Must be available to work any shift Monday-Friday between 7:45 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Compensation: Starting rate $22.25 per hour.
