A reasonable salary range is:
Minimum Base Salary (Bay Area) $147,000.00
Mid Base Salary (Bay Area) $199,000.00
Maximum Base Salary (Bay Area) $251,000.00

Responsibilities:
- Oversees CPUC regulatory compliance across Electric Distribution, Transmission, and Substation operations. Responds to CPUC audits, data requests, and NOVs with technical and regulatory expertise
- Responsible for the regulatory compliance of the department’s programs, which includes meeting on a regular basis with Legal, Regulatory Relations, and the CPUC, and formally investigating and responding to CPUC Audits, Data Requests, and Notice of Violations. Works with regulators and other internal LOBs regarding regulatory rules changes and supporting processes
- Provides PG&E General Rate Case (GRC) or Transmission Owner (TO) Rate Case support as a subject matter expert for compliance programs. May act as the Witness and testify before the CPUC as part of the GRC or FERC regulatory filing processes
- Determines the most effective Safety & Operations Compliance metrics to measure performance against annual or longer-term goals and objectives for time bound projects or ongoing operational work. Regularly presents department scorecard to senior management and adjusts based on business needs
- Works on special projects and process improvement initiatives in Electric Operations as they relate to compliance programs, such as benchmarking best practices in the industry and implementing recommended improvements
- Participates in compliance and risk management forums and helps ensure risk mitigation is embedded in the full electric organization’s fundamental business policies and processes. Develops and maintains effective relationships with other full electric organization’s risk and compliance groups to understand the interdependencies between risks and identify mutually beneficial mitigation strategies
- Coordinates standards implementation, documentation, and program audit readiness. Leads collaboration efforts with Compliance Assurance related to corrective action efforts and cause evaluations for operational compliance events
- Manages a team aligned to sub-functional areas including Special Projects. Provides direct supervision, staffing, training, coaching, and mentoring to compliance and risk employees in the department
- Assigns, prioritizes, and reviews project work, project initiatives, and special assignments
Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience with electric utility or related programs.
- 5 years of experience as a program or project manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
- Experience in utility compliance, operations or related programs.
- 5+ years in a leadership role leading cross-functional teams
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and engineering program processes and procedures
- Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies. Excellent project and process management skills
- Depth and breadth of knowledge of regulatory requirements from the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) North American Electric Reliability (NERC), Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) as they relate to Electric Operations
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills including the ability to communicate messages to upper management and external regulators
- Analysis, written communication, and group collaboration skills and ability to lead teams and promote employee engagement
- Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
- Working knowledge of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems, GIS mapping systems, SAP Work Management, and Business Warehouse
- Working knowledge of audit and quality assurance practices
