About The Role

Join a world-class semiconductor manufacturer as a Mechanical HVAC Process and Controls Engineer. In this role, you’ll lead the design, implementation, and optimization of advanced HVAC systems that support cleanroom environments and precision-controlled manufacturing spaces. You’ll work at the intersection of mechanical engineering, process control, and high-tech innovation to maintain the strict environmental standards critical to wafer production.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain HVAC systems for cleanrooms, subfabs, and critical process areas
  • Develop and optimize control sequences for air handling units, exhaust systems, and chilled water loops
  • Ensure precise regulation of temperature, humidity, pressure, and particle control to meet ISO 14644 and SEMI standards
  • Collaborate with automation, process, and facility teams to integrate HVAC systems with BMS/SCADA platforms
  • Analyze system performance, lead troubleshooting efforts, and drive continuous improvements
  • Specify and calibrate sensors, actuators, and other control components for environmental systems
  • Support expansion and retrofit projects in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment
  • Maintain documentation including P&IDs, SOPs, and system control narratives
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and cleanroom protocols

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) or trade school.
  • 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience, with 3+ years in semiconductor or cleanroom environments
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC system design, process controls, and facility automation systems
  • Proficiency with control systems (BMS, PLC, SCADA) and building automation logic
  • Experience supporting ISO Class 6–8 cleanrooms and fab operations
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, SEMI guidelines, and local code requirements
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or LEED certification
  • Experience with airflow simulation tools (e.g., CFD modeling)
  • Cleanroom or pharma/biotech facility experience is a plus
