Jethro Health System is a patient-centered, Medicare and Medicaid Accredited Home health Care agency looking for an Administrative Assistant for our organization.
Job Description
The Administrative Assistant performs administrative and front-office support activities. These duties includes directing and coordinating activities of medical, nursing, and clerical services of our organization. He/she establish work schedules and assignments for field staff according to workload, cases, and availabilities; ensures that all referrals are received in actuate, detailed manner and in turn are properly handled for staffing. Administrative Assistants consults with Client Care, Staffing, Payroll and Billing Coordinators, and Human Resources to discuss service problems to coordinate activities, and fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, and filing. Extensive computer and software skills and strong communication skills are required.
Qualifications
Must be a high school graduate, and at least 18 years with at least one (1) year of administrative experience, a college graduate in the health care or social work field is preferred. Must possess effective communication skills both written and oral, able to listen and understand information, be flexible, and have the ability to guide others. Problem solving skills, creativity and the ability to follow rules and policies are required qualities. He/she must possess knowledge of administrative, clerical, and secretarial procedures, i.e. word processing, excel, forms design systems, telephone operation, mail distribution, stenography and transcriptional systems, and other office procedures and duties.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
- Accurately compiles the initial Patient Profile for each therapy and distributes it to the appropriate members of the healthcare team for processing
- Receives all referral and inquiries of programs that the agency offers as a source of service.
- Assists the Staffing Coordinator in the screening and testing of all applicants.
- Completes personal folders of all field employees: assist in the monthly audit of the files of non-administrative personnel.
- Observes and photocopies license and identification card(s) and verifies with the appropriate licensing body as necessary.
- Schedules all cases receiving care by the agency (with the appropriate supervision of the Client Care and Staffing Coordinators).
- Keeps records, and required documentation updated.
- Responds promptly and courteously to all patients/clients inquiries or problems
- Communicate continually with employees and clients to evaluate service
- Serves as a liaison between non-administrative personnel and the office
- Performs all other duties assigned by Management
- Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls
- Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects at the request of Human Resources and/or the Administrator, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, creating brochures, etc.
- Accurately compiles the initial Patient Profile for each therapy and distributes it to the appropriate members of the healthcare team for processing
- Responsible for answering all incoming phones for Intake and ensuring all calls are documented in an email to appropriate staff and documenting in patient file where appropriate.
- Intake/Coordinating: 1 year (Preferred)
- Home Health/Care: 1 years (Preferred)
- Knowledge of Home Healthcare EMR (Preferred)
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week
