Pay Transparency

The above reflects the anticipated per hour range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview

The Data Analyst/Abstractor is responsible for obtaining and entering data into systems, and where appropriate, analysis and reporting of said data. Additionally, the Analyst is responsible for performing tasks such as filing and copying at the request of the department manager.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare experience

Preferred

  • Associate s Degree or Above
  • Experience with data management in a healthcare setting

Scheduling Requirements

  • Working Shift: Monday Friday
  • Day Shift: 8:00AM-4:30PM
  • Full-Time, 40 Hours Per Week

Essential Functions

  • Ensures the identification of all Cardiology patients (e.g., Catherization Lab schedule, TDS, SCM, Lumedx and other computer interfaces as necessary)
  • Ensures the collection of data in an accurate and timely manner utilizing clinical records, TDS, PHS, SCM, Lumedx and other sources of information as necessary
  • Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to distinguish information based on clinical information obtained
  • Ensures the entry of data into the Cardiology database in an accurate and timely manner Reviews data for errors in data input and makes corrections as necessary
  • Maintains and enhances professional competence through participation in professional organizations and continuing education programs
  • Demonstrates initiative in order to enhance required knowledge
  • Appropriately apprises the Cardiology Database Manager of developments affecting the operation of the database and the department
  • Communicates with physicians, nurses and other health care team members
  • Ensures the production of internal and external reports and outcome data as required
  • Analyzes data using databases and clinical records in a accurate and timely manner
