Description

The Director of Operations will have achieved success when the following objectives have been met:

  • Maximize the potential of the team to achieve results, anticipate client needs, and respond to those needs in a timely and professional manner, all while growing sales and meeting quality and service level standards.
  • Promptly address opportunities through implementation of long-term solutions.
  • Lead client retention initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Lead the development of a team able to execute today, while at the same time preparing to lead in the future. Stay up to date with industry trends. Identify opportunities. Network with professionals in the field. And regularly coach, develop, direct and evaluate talent. Build and refine the team needed to perpetuate Continental’s place as a leader in the industry.
  • Seek continuous improvement. Ensure tools and resources are used effectively to enhance performance at all levels. Foster partnership and interdependence among teams.
  • Promote congruency of purpose and direction. Partner with organizational leaders to identify and exploit synergies.
  • Design, develop and lead the execution of action plans. Conduct regular sessions that communicate and drive progress as well as monitor performance.
  • Create a motivating environment through utilization of interpersonal styles and methods in guiding groups towards task accomplishments.

Client Relationship Management

  • Ongoing evaluation of account pricing.
  • Sustain our client retention initiative which is “Clients for Life”.
  • Active in account visits and support in the ongoing development of strong and personable relationships between our Regional Business Managers and our client accounts.
  • Procure relationships with core customer and client base for retention and growth.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage P&L by optimizing labor costs and driving sales growth to achieve profitability targets.
  • Inspire our managers to achieve a preferred provider status through exceptional guest experiences at all locations.
  • Entrench company values in policies, procedures and operating practices used to execute goals and objectives. Utilize systems and internal services to optimize execution practices.
  • Be a catalyst for continuous improvement. Ensure resources are used effectively to enhance performance. Create metrics that offer convenient review of success indicators. Review summary reports that monitor and track progress. Use information therein to coach and develop team members as well as streamline operations.
  • Works in harmony with managers in other business divisions and administrative staff to achieve.

Education, Training, And Experience

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Business, Management, Hospitality or related degree preferred; or equivalent industry experience.
  • Retail Customer Relationship Management (CRM) experience preferred.
