CRC Production/Revenue Accounting Department is seeking to fill an Accounting Supervisor position based in Bakersfield, CA.
The base annual salary for this posted position is expected to range from $110K - $130K, with a target annual bonus of 15% of base salary and eligibility to participate in our long-term incentive program. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including education, experience level and relevant industry experience. Benefits Include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k with Match, Paid holidays, FSA and HSA.

Responsibilities
- Direct supervision, training, and development of accounting staff
- Managing and reviewing staff work to ensure it is timely and accurate
- Maintaining our production software and communication with operations/engineering as needed to update allocation models
- Processing of production allocations including validation and review of operations data and analysis of final numbers
- Maintaining our revenue software while working closely with our LAND department to ensure the correct owners are paid
- Processing of revenue using the production allocations and pricing of sales based on contracts from our marketing group including validations, review, and analysis of final numbers
- Preparation of external and internal reporting including owner reports, reports for management, and reports for other departments within CRC
- Variance analysis, root cause analysis, with explanations and corrections for future periods
- Multiple company General Ledger accounting, Journal Vouchers, and Account Reconciliations
- Volume and Revenue Accruals with accrual to actual variances explained and corrected for future periods
- Using problem solving skills, analytical thinking, and communication to complete internal and external stakeholder requests as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Oil and Gas industry knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision
- Willing to work overtime as needed
- Seeks additional responsibilities
- Adapts well to changes in responsibilities and workloads
- Master's in Business, Accounting or Finance
- Oil and Gas Production, Revenue, or Regulatory accounting experience
- Previous supervisor experience
