Position Overview:
As the Tier 1 Manager of NOC Engineering in the Network Operations Center (NOC) at Extenet, you will play a pivotal role in managing day-to-day engineering operations critical to the organization's network infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Director of NOC Engineering, your responsibilities include overseeing the NOC Tier 1 team, optimizing processes and workflows, reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the network.

Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and prioritize workloads, process and workflow, and resource planning to achieve Network Trouble Management standards compliance and reliability metrics (SLA’s, MTTR, Network availability and uptime).
- Process Management: Manage NOC engineering processes, implementing strategies to optimize efficiency and enhance network reliability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other internal Extenet teams to address engineering challenges, share insights, and contribute to overall corporate strategies.
- Incident Response Coordination: Coordinate with Tier 2 and engineering teams in incident response activities, ensuring timely resolution of network-related issues.
- Documentation Management: Assist in creating and maintaining comprehensive standardized documentation for engineering processes, procedures, and incident reports.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the dynamic needs of the NOC team.
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering roles, with progressive experience in leadership.
- Intermediate knowledge of telecommunications networks, including DAS, small cell, and transport networks.
- Experience with MS Office and strong overall computer skills.
- Experience with ServiceNow ticket system is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to facilitate dialogue between business stakeholders and the NOC team.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing departmental requirements and priorities.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail in ensuring that deliverables meet established standards and requirements.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal Extenet teams.
- Documentation Skills: Strong organizational skills for managing comprehensive engineering process documentation.
