This full-time Patient Safety Assistant role covers day shifts in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, and Madras with a pay range of $20.80-$26.00.
- Provides constant observation and support to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients requiring close monitoring for safety or behavioral reasons.
- Under RN supervision, ensures patient safety and comfort, documents observations, and follows safety protocols.
- Assists with daily activities, interacts positively with diverse patients, and maintains a therapeutic environment.
- Conducts safety checks, manages room safety, and supports patient transfers and discharge preparations.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification prior to orientation, and completion of training such as AVADE or Code Gray within 3 months.
- Preferred experience includes healthcare, behavioral health, or long-term care; certifications as CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant are a plus.
- Must demonstrate strong observational, communication, and teamwork skills, with physical ability to stand, walk, and lift as needed, and adhere to safety and PPE requirements.
- Shift is from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., including weekends and holidays, scheduled for 36 hours weekly.
