To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.

Job Summary

The Import Administrator serves to ensure import compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, timely entries, and coordination with various stakeholders. This role will involve preparing documentation for customs entries/withdraws, coordinating inventory transactions and tracking shipments.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of import related documentation and customs declarations.
  • Prepares documents for and processes the withdraws for all Foreign Trade Zone and Bonded Inventory.
  • Working with brokers and freight forwards to facilitate timely clearance of goods.
  • Compiles compliance records for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Assists branches with import-related inventory issues as needed.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with customs laws and company policies.
  • Support special projects related to customs compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with U.S. Customs regulations

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations, HTS classification, and import/export documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Good analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education And Experience

  • A High School Diploma as well as two years’ experience in an import/receiving-related position are required.
  • Metals industry experience is desired.
