Position: Learning Experience Specialist

Reports to: Director, Learning and Leadership Development

Location: Indianapolis, IN (hybrid / in-person 2 days)

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Summary

The Learning Experience Specialist will help to identify, plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate top-tier learning solutions aligned with our mission and objectives. You'll collaborate closely with subject matter experts, staff, and affiliates to create engaging, interactive, and effective learning solutions to meet the needs of our employees and Network.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Design and Development:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to assess learning needs and design effective, curricula and instructional materials.
  • Create engaging and interactive learning experiences integrating multimedia elements, activities, and assessments.
  • Ensure that instructional materials are culturally responsive and inclusive.

E-Learning And Blended Learning

  • Develop e-learning modules, online courses, and blended learning experiences.
  • Leverage learning management systems and digital tools for the delivery and tracking of online learning programs.

Collaboration And Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with department managers/staff and external partners to gather content and feedback for instructional design projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align instructional materials with organizational objectives and learning outcomes.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance reviews to ensure instructional materials meet high standards of accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness.
  • Revise and update instructional materials based on feedback and evaluation data.

Training And Support

  • Offer training and support to staff and our affiliates in the effective utilization of instructional materials and resources.
  • Assist in the implementation and facilitation of training workshops as needed.

Assessment And Evaluation

  • Develop assessments and evaluation methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of instructional programs.
  • Analyze data and feedback to make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.

Other Duties

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to executives and the board.
  • Participate in special projects and willingly take on additional tasks as required.

Salary Range: $65,000 commensurate with experience

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • A commitment to the mission of Girls Inc.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in training-instructional design and delivery/facilitation experience
  • Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems, and multimedia software (Articulate)
  • A deep understanding of pedagogical principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Capability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
  • Strong commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
